Morrill Drive Bike Lane Installation Begins July 20
NC State is taking another step forward in creating a safer, more accessible campus for everyone. Starting Monday, July 20, crews will begin installing new dedicated bike lanes along Morrill Drive.
As more members of the Wolfpack choose to ride, we are aligning our campus infrastructure with the core values of the Physical Master Plan. This project furthers our efforts to improve safety, connect pathways, and champion sustainable transportation.
Project Details and Timeline
- Start Date: Monday, July 20
- Duration: Approximately 3 weeks
- Parking Impacts: To create a dedicated, safe space for the new bike lanes, on-street parking along Morrill Drive will be permanently removed. We encourage drivers to utilize nearby parking options moving forward.
- Traffic Impact: We do not anticipate any closures or major impacts to regular traffic flow.
- Safety On-Site: To ensure a smooth process and keep our community safe, traffic control officers will be on-site to guide vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians through the work zone.
We appreciate your patience as we work to build a safer, more connected campus.
