Lime FAQS

How do I create a Lime account?
Download the Lime app to your smart phone from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Sign up by using your University email. Put in your contact information, your credit card information, and you are ready to go!

Hours of Operation
All scooters are available to ride from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week.

How old do I have to be to use Lime products?
You must be at least 18 years old to use Lime products.

How do I find a scooter near me?
Simply download the Lime app on your smart phone, view scooters on the map, walk to the nearest scooter, then use the app to unlock the scooter to ride.
Lime is designed with the rider’s safety as top priority. Each scooter is equipped with anti-theft lock and alarm, kickstand for parking stability, and front light.

How do I pay for my ride?
You can deposit credits to your Lime wallet for future rides using the credit card information provided when you created your account. You can deposit as little as $5 to get started, or more to earn free rides. Deposits are refundable if you decide not to ride.

How do I end my ride?
First please make sure you are at a proper scooter parking location. Dockless scooter systems work well when we all take responsibility to park scooters in places that do not block traffic, impede pedestrian access, or use private property. Please park the scooter upright, curbside. As soon as you lock the scooter, the app will end the ride and provide you with a trip summary.

Who operates the system?
Lime hires, trains, and deploys an operations team to manage the scooters.
