Parking Services

In response to the impacts of COVID-19 on the NC State community, and based on guidance from the University leadership and the UNC System Office, Transportation is taking the following action regarding parking permits.

Student Permits: Student parking permit holders will receive a refund for the prorated amount of their permit, calculated from March 23. Refunds will be made through University Accounting in the coming weeks. Students may find the Fall 2020 permit sale schedule here.

Employees with Payroll Deduction: For employees who pay for permits through payroll deduction, their deductions will not be collected for April, May and June 2020.

Employees Who Purchased in One Payment: Employees who paid for their permits in one payment will receive a refund for April, May and June 2020. Refunds will be made via check and mailed to the employee’s address on file.

For all employee permits, a decision has not yet been made about potential future withholdings or refunds and is dependent on university operations.

Departmental and auxiliary permits are not eligible for refunds.

Transportation is suspending parking enforcement, 3/18 – 6/30, with exception of reserved spaces (including ADA), fire lanes and no parking areas.
