Lights Off in Parking Decks During Winter Break

Each winter break, as part of NC State’s Holiday Energy Savings Initiative, the Transportation Department will turn off the lights to parking decks and some lots. This initiative has saved more than $4 million since the program was started in 2005.

Below is a list of parking decks/lots and what their lighting status will be during the break as part of the program.  Power will be turned off by 6pm on 12/23/21 and restored on 1/2/22.

  2. Dan Allen (Off)
  3. Coliseum Deck (RE Section will remain on)
  4. Toxicology (Off)
  5. Oval West (Off)
  6. MRC (Off)
  7. Partners Way (Off)
  8. CBC (Partial closing, top 2 floors will be off)
  9. Poulton (Will remain on) 
  10. Main Campus Drive Lots (Off)
  11. Oval Dr. Storage Lot (Will remain on)
