Visitor with a DMV-issued ADA Placard

If you need access to ADA spaces on campus outside of  Visitor Parking areas, please come into the Transportation office for assistance.

A DMV-issued ADA placard or plate must be displayed in conjunction with NC State parking credentials to park in reserved ADA spaces.

Employee/Student with a DMV-issued ADA Placard

If you have a DMV-issued ADA placard and need accessible parking on campus, please send a copy of your placard and a note about where you need parking access to mddean@ncsu.edu. Once this information is submitted, Transportation will register your placard in our system and work with you to determine the most appropriate option.

Employee/Student without a DMV-issued ADA Placard

Transportation will provide a maximum of 2 weeks of proximity parking to individuals with parking needs who do not have a DMV-issued ADA placard. To obtain two weeks of proximity parking, please complete the Temporary Accessible Parking Application with your physician and return it to mddean@ncsu.edu

  • Examples of customers who would be eligible for the two weeks of proximity parking:
    • Employee/Student awaiting the arrival of their DMV-issued ADA placard.
    • Employee/Student with short-term mobility needs.
