Visitor Parking

Visitors are encouraged to use one of the designated visitor pay lots located throughout campus. Hourly rates apply.
Parking is enforced Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. in faculty/staff and commuter areas. Residential parking areas are enforced Monday - Thursday 7 a.m. - midnight and Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Non Gated Visitor Pay Spaces - pay upon arrival
- $3 for first hour, or any portion of
- $2 for every additional hour, or any portion of
- $15.25 daily rate

Where can I get visitor parking information on campus?

NC State Transportation Office:
2721 Sullivan Drive. 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Tip: For fishing pier parking, park in marked spaces only. Overflow parking is located at the MRC deck. Visitor permit required 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Permit is available for purchase at the Transportation office.

Park: Take note of your license plate number and the zone on the green sign.
Pay: Use the ParkMobile mobile app, mobile website or call 1-800-280-4146 and enter the zone number listed on the green ParkMobile signs. Pay using credit card.
Go: Head to class, your office or to visit campus. You can even opt-in to receive a text notification 15 minutes before your parking session is set to expire.

Accessible Visitor Permits
Individuals with a state-issued accessible / handicap placard must purchase visitor parking in order to park on campus.

Campus Tours
Campus tours are conducted from the E. Carroll Joyner Visitor Center located at 1210 Varsity Drive at the intersection of Western Boulevard and Varsity Drive.

Do you ticket visitors parked in permit areas?
Yes. Parking permits are enforced from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except on Official University Holidays. Please pay close attention to signs as some lots have extended enforcement hours. Visitor permits are not valid in pay lots or pay-by-plate locations.
Special permits are required for loading/unloading and events.
