All carpool payments are due before July 29, 2022, @ 5 p.m.

Permits will be active beginning August 1, 2022.

Allow up to (2) weeks to process applications. Please email  ncsu-wolftrails@ncsu.edu with any questions.

  • Must be an actively enrolled NC State student who does not possess an active NC State parking permit.
  • At least one (1) member of the carpool must be a full-time student (12+ credits for undergraduates, 9+ credits for graduates).
  • A minimum of two (2) commuter students must make up a Student Carpool. Each carpool participant must have a vehicle registered in their name or the name of a family member or spouse.
  • Participants will split the cost of an SCP Permit ($210).
  • Permits are sold on a semester basis (Fall and Spring). Students must reapply for the Spring semester. Communication will be sent via your @ncsu.edu email address in late October/early November of the fall semester. Failure to reapply in the designated timeframe will result in the forfeiture of your carpool permit.
  • Students must live at least a quarter-mile from the nearest Wolfline bus stop. See the map link below.
  • The permit allows one vehicle, registered to the group permit, to park in these specific parking decks: Coliseum Deck (CD), Dan Allen Deck (DD), West Deck (W), Partners Way Deck (CC), MRC Deck (CC), Toxicology Deck (CC) and CBC- Vet School (CB) as well as Fringe Lots (F) and Varsity Lot (V). There are no designated carpool parking spaces in these facilities.
  • Each carpool member is allotted 6 daily (virtual) permits per semester per rider to use during times when schedules conflict.
  • Virtual permits are only valid for the Varsity Lot.
  • Daily permits are not to be sold, traded, gifted or otherwise offered to an unauthorized user.
  • Each student carpool will need a primary and secondary permit holder. The primary holder is Transportation’s point of contact and is the student responsible for ANY fines or citations issued.
