Starting on Monday, April 25 to Friday, April 30, there will be a full closure of a portion of Hillsborough St., west of Meredith College, nightly from midnight to 5 AM so that the bridge construction of the new 440 structure over Hillsborough St. can continue. As the work progresses, it will get to a point where it is only a westbound closure.
Please make note of the following detours:
- For eastbound traffic (including that traffic exiting 440 westbound) use Blue Ridge Rd. to Beryl Rd. as the detour route.
- For westbound traffic (including eastbound 440 traffic trying to exit) use 440 eastbound to Wade Ave. to 440 westbound as the detour route.
