The current westbound I-440 bridge will now be demolished beginning the evening of May 30. Previously it was scheduled to begin on May 22. This work is expected to take two weeks to complete. The plan is to close westbound Wade Avenue nightly for the first week and eastbound Wade Avenue nightly the following week. This schedule may be altered due to weather and/or delivery issues. The closures will be in place from midnight to 5 a.m. Maps of the detours around this closure are below.
