The City of Raleigh has installed two High-Intensity Activated CrossWalks or HAWK signals on Avent Ferry Road. The signals are located near Brigadoon Drive and Centennial View Lane. These signals will make it safer to cross Avent Ferry Road to access bus stops, the Walnut Creek Trail and Centennial Campus.
To encourage usage of the HAWK signals, the inbound bus stop at Avent Ferry Road and Brigadoon Drive has been relocated south along Avent Ferry Road to be closer to the signal, as indicated in the map and image below.
