Athens Drive Across I-440 Closure Begins February 6

Demolition of the portion of Athens Drive that crosses over 440 will begin on February 6, 2022. This closure is expected to last until February 6, 2023. See the map below for the detour route.

During the demolition, the following 440 eastbound and westbound closures will be in place. Traffic will be detoured to Jones Franklin or Western Blvd. (see the map below).

• Nightly Temporary Closures of eastbound and westbound 440 (Midnight to 5 AM): February 6-11
• Single Lane Closures as Needed of eastbound and westbound 440: February 13-18
