Nightly Closures Continue for Wade Avenue at I-440 Interchange This Week

As part of the I-440 Improvement Project, the North Carolina Department of Transportation has extended closures on Wade Avenue for another week.

Wade Avenue eastbound will be reduced to one lane at 9pm tonight to stage equipment used to demolish the old I-440 East bridge over Wade Ave.

All eastbound lanes will be closed from midnight to 5am tomorrow to demolish the bridge.

The closures are expected to be in place until Friday night.
