City of Oaks Marathon Traffic Impacts

This Sunday, Nov. 5 will be the annual City of Oaks Marathon. Races will begin with staggered start times from 6:55 a.m. to 7:20 a.m. Participants will be on Hillsborough Street and side streets requiring roads to be closed between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Please be aware of the following road closures as you make your plans:

• Hillsborough St from Pullen to I-440 Northbound Ramp
  • Closed = 7:30 a.m.
  • Open = 1 p.m.
• Hillsborough St closed from Pullen to Glenwood
  • Closed = 7 a.m.
  • Open = 8 a.m.
• Ashe Ave from Hillsborough to Western
  • Closed = 7 a.m.
  • Open = 8:30 a.m.
• W. Morgan from Hillsborough St. to Glenwood Ave.
  • Closed = 7 a.m.
  • Open = 9:15 a.m.
• Clark Ave from Oberlin to Brooks
  • Closed = 7 a.m.
  • Open = 9:15 a.m.
• Pogue/Everett/Gardner around Rose Garden
  • Closed = 7:15 a.m.
  • Open = 9:15 a.m.
• Oberlin from Clark to Hillsborough
  • Closed = 7:15 a.m.
  • Open = 9:15 a.m.
• Dixie Trail from Wade to Hillsborough
  • Closed = 7:30 a.m.
  • Open = 9:45 a.m.
• Clark from Dixie Trail to Faircloth
  • Closed = 7:30 a.m.
  • Open = 9:45 a.m.
• Faircloth from Beaver Dam Rd. to Hillsborough St.
  • Closed = 7:30 a.m.
  • Open = 1 p.m.
• Gorman Street at Hillsborough only
  • Closed = 7:30 a.m.
  • Open = 1 p.m.
