Board Hearing Request
If you disagree with the appeal’s decision, you may request a board hearing. The Board, composed of NC State community members, meets on the second Wednesday of each month. A Hearing request must be filed within seven calendar days from the date of the initial appeal decision email. Unlike an appeal, the citation must be paid in full before requesting a Board Hearing. Any applicable refunds will be issued via check if the Board grants the appeal.
The following citations are not a reason to request a Board Hearing:
- Parking in an accessible space, blocking an accessible aisle, path, or curb cut.
- Parking in a Fire Lane: if you do not have documented evidence of an emergency, i.e., medical, life-threatening.
- Overtime parking in a loading zone
The following citations are not eligible for a Board Hearing:
- No Permit Citation: if you have received three or more citations and/or warnings for “No Permit.”
- Repeat Citations: if you have received three or more citations and/or warnings for the same offense.
- Failure to submit payment in a pay lot
