Summer Waiver Staging Application

Please complete this form to request a Summer Waiver of construction staging on NC State’s campus between May 11, 2026, and July 31, 2026.

The Summer Waiver applies only to construction staging; contractor parking fees will not be waived.

Only projects that start after May 11, 2026, and end before July 31, 2026, will be considered for a Summer Waiver.

Staging areas must be restored to their original condition before the project is completed.

Summer Waivers are not guaranteed and must be approved by Transportation prior to the start of the project.

NC State Project Managers do not have the authority to approve a Summer Waiver.

If projects do not meet the requirements above or the project duration exceeds the original estimate, NC State Transportation will charge the responsible paying party for any associated fees.

Please allow a minimum of five business days for processing and approval.

Compliance

  • At all times, the general contractor is responsible for communicating relevant information to all subcontractors.
  • Failure by the general contractor to communicate these requirements may result in the denial of general contractor parking for the remainder of the project.
  • Summer Waiver Requirements
    • The project start date is after May 11, 2026.
    • The project end date is before July 31, 2026.
    • At the project end date, there will be no remaining equipment, construction debris, or parking space(s)/lot(s) requiring repairs.
