Visitor Parking

Welcome Visitors

Visitors should use one of the designated visitor pay lots throughout campus. Hourly rates apply.

Permits are enforced Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., in faculty/staff, commuter areas, and visitor parking locations. Residential parking areas are monitored Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to midnight, and Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Non-Gated Visitor Pay Spaces – pay upon arrival

  • $3 for the first hour or any portion of
  • $2 for every additional hour or any portion of
    • Time can be extended at $1 for 30 minutes or any portion of
  • $15 daily rate
  • There is a $.35 fee per transaction for using the ParkMobile app.

No Cash – Debit and Credit Cards ONLY: Master Card, Visa, Discover, and American Express

Where can I get visitor parking information on campus?

NC State Transportation Office:
2721 Sullivan Drive. 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Tip: For fishing pier parking, park in marked spaces only. Overflow parking is available in the Poulton Pay Lot, across the street from the Hunt Library. A visitor permit is required from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please use ParkMobile to pay for parking at the pier and in the Poulton Pay Lot.

NON-GATED VISITOR PAY SPACES

Pay-by-plate. Be sure to enter the correct license plate number!

PAY BY APP

Park: Take note of your license plate number and the zone number on the ParkMobile sign.

Five Ways to Pay: Use the ParkMobile mobile app or website, Text 77223, call 1-877-727-5301, or use a kiosk or QR code (if available), and enter the zone number listed on the ParkMobile sign. Pay using a credit card.

Go: Head to class, your office, or to visit campus. You can even opt-in to receive a text notification 15 minutes before your parking session is set to expire.

*Because the parking lots are set up as zones, parking is on-demand only. You are not able to reserve a space ahead of time.*

Electric Vehicle Charging

NC State has electric vehicle charging stations visitors can use for a fee.

  • Hourly Use.
  • $2.50/hour for the first 4 hours of connection time.
  • Vehicles exceeding the 4-hour connection time are subject to a $10/hour charge, prorated by the minute.
