Oval West Deck Power Washing During Spring Break

During the week of Spring Break, March 14-18, the Oval West Deck on Centennial Campus will be power washed.  Cleanstreak will deliver their equipment on Sunday, March 13, and it will be staged in the Partners I Lot.  Signage will be in place a week before reserving these spaces.

There will be periodic closures of the levels in order to clean each one as quickly as possible.  Directional signage will be in place to help pedestrian and vehicular guests navigate their way around the closures. The process will start on the top floor and work its way down.

The benefits of power washing are to improve the deck’s appearance but also uncover any possible maintenance items that need to be addressed.  All markings and stripings will be repainted to freshen them up and make them more visible.

Cleanstreak, founded in 2013 by Jonathan Greene ‘04 and Cameron Guice ’08, specializes in parking garage pressure washing using their patent-pending Instant Reclaim Cleaning Machine and Mobile Water Treatment System.  By reclaiming all wash water and using no cleaning chemicals, they minimize runoff and protect surface waters from pollution. The wash water is treated onsite to remove pollutants (heavy metals, oils, sediments, oxygen-consuming bacteria), reused to reduce water consumption by 90% versus traditional methods, and disposed of through the sanitary sewer system to reduce waste disposal fees for their customers.
