The bus stop on Cates Avenue, across from the Coliseum Deck, will be getting a makeover. On Jan. 3, the current stop will close and temporarily relocate to the curb cut at the entrance to the Paul Derr Track and Curtis & Jacqueline Dail Soccer Field. Construction on the new stop will begin on Jan. 8 and open on Jan. 16, weather permitting.
The final location of the stop will be to the west of the Paul Derr Track access road. It will be paved and have Simme Seats, trash cans, and a crosswalk installed.
