A stress-free parking option is now available for quick trips to the Talley Student Union and surrounding areas.
The Transportation Department installed short-term parking spaces on Cates Avenue as a pilot, across the street from the entrance to the Price Music Center. Users are limited to 30 minutes and can only use them once a day. Parking without the required pass or longer than 30 minutes will result in a citation.
To request a pass, scan the QR Code on the sign, enter the license plate number and the state, and then click Add. The clock starts as soon as the pass is requested.
The idea came about after receiving feedback from individuals looking to run into Talley for quick trips like picking up a food order or dropping off a project to Wolf Xpress Print and Copy. Data will be collected and reviewed to determine the success of the pilot. If the pilot is successful, we will extend it for the long term.
