Parking Permit Information

Please Note: There are a limited number of permits sold. Permits are sold based on the number of completed credit hours you have and the availability of parking spaces. To purchase a parking permit students must be registered for courses.

Fall 2021 permits expire on December 31, 2021. Spring 2022 permits expire on May 8, 2022

Permits are virtual and there is no physical decal to display in your vehicle. Park so that your license plate faces the drive lane. If you wish to back into a parking space check out the Vanity License Plate program below.

Commuter Student Permits

  • Overnight parking is not permitted in any commuter areas without the permission of University Transportation. For additional information regarding parking rules and regulations, please see the Transportation Ordinances
  • Commuter permits are not valid in any hourly pay area on campus (including the ground floors of CD and DD).
  • Student commuter parking deck permits (CB, CC, CD, DD, W) can cross-park in other student parking decks after 3 p.m.
  • Commuter students living in close proximity to campus are not eligible for an on-campus parking permit- please see section 2.3.2.7 of our ordinances for specific locations.

Greek Life Aux (GL)
Greek Life members who do not reside in a Greek house, but are required to take meals and attend meetings inside normal parking enforcement hours, must purchase a “GL” credential in addition to their valid University student permit. Students with “V” (Varsity) permits, or any student resident permit, are not eligible for the “GL” decal.

Front Vanity License Plate Program

  • Permits are virtual and your license plate is your parking credential.
  • No physical permit is issued to display in your vehicle.
  • If you do not have a license plate that is identical to the plate on the rear of your vehicle you must park so that your license plate faces the drive lane. If you wish to back into your parking space you may purchase a front vanity plate for $5 via your Parking Account.

Plate orders are placed on the 15th of each month. Processing time could take up to 3 weeks after orders are placed. You will be notified via email when your plate is available for pickup.

How to Purchase a Fall/Spring Parking Permit

What do I need in order to make a purchase?
  • Unity ID.
  • Unity password.
  • Vehicle make, model and year.
  • License plate number.
  • No unpaid tickets.
  • Permit type you wish to purchase.
  • Debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
    Note: You can cancel your transaction anytime prior to submitting your payment information.

Follow this step-by-step guide on how to purchase your parking permit. Please note that first-year students (transfers included) will not have a parking account until the date of their respective purchase date.
